Benefits

What ViaCamp does for you.

Not a portal that takes a cut of your bookings. A tool that helps campers find you and talk to you directly.

  • Get found

Campers search ViaCamp by location, type of site and facilities. With complete details and good photos, your site shows up where it belongs.

  • Direct enquiries, no commission

Guests ask you directly about dates. The enquiry arrives by email and in your inbox on ViaCamp, and you reply yourself. We earn nothing from your bookings.

  • Your details, always up to date

You manage photos, description, facilities, season and contact details yourself. Changes to your own site are visible straight away.

  • Figures instead of guesswork

You can see how often your site is viewed, saved and enquired about, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days.

Services

Operator tools on ViaCamp

Three professional tools — free with your operator listing.

As soon as your campsite is listed on ViaCamp, three tools are unlocked right away: your own enquiry inbox, statistics with views and conversion, and an availability filter that automatically blocks fully booked dates. No extra charge, no contract.

Feature 01 · Enquiry inbox

Guests enquire directly. You see every detail at a glance.

Every enquiry lands in your personal inbox at via.camp/operator — with travel dates, number of guests, vehicle dimensions and an optional message. One click on “Accept” or “Decline” notifies the guest automatically by email.

  • Live filter by status (new / seen / accepted / declined)
  • Reply-To points straight to the guest's email — no detour via ViaCamp
  • GDPR-compliant: IP addresses are deleted after 30 days
Enquiry inbox with a guest's enquiry, reply templates and a send button

Feature 02 · Statistics

See how often your campsite is found.

Views per day as a chart, enquiries by status, plus each site with its trend, rating and saves. Choose 7, 30 or 90 days. A solid basis when you decide how to present your site.

  • Views, enquiries, saves and the share of views that lead to an enquiry
  • Per spot: sparkline trend and detailed comparison
  • Mobile-responsive — usable on your phone out on the campsite too
Statistics with views per day, key figures and enquiries by status

Feature 03 · Availability calendar

No enquiries for dates that are already taken.

Add the iCal URL of your booking system (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, Google Calendar …) — we sync daily. If a guest asks for booked days, the system automatically blocks the form and shows a clear notice. Saves you phone calls about fully booked weekends.

  • Genuine iCal standard support (RFC 5545)
  • Daily sync plus a manual “Re-sync” button
  • Live conflict notice in your guest's enquiry form
A guest's enquiry window with a note that the selected days are booked

These tools are available as soon as your site is listed on ViaCamp — with or without a website package. Optionally, Featured gives you more visibility on the map.

List your campsite on ViaCamp

Featured

Highlighted on the map.

Your listing stays free. With Featured, a star highlights your site on the map, labelled “Sponsored” or “Partner”.

Featured

Star marker on the map and a visible “Sponsored” label. The order of search results is not affected.

€29/month · or €290/year

Free for the first operators

The first operators get Featured free of charge for good, labelled “Partner”. — places left.

€0 · for good

Featured is only available on top of the free listing. Activation by email to martin@via.camp — I will get back to you within one working day.

The situation

Your guests search on Google. Do they find you?

A third of all campers plan their next overnight stay spontaneously from their pitch — on their phone. Without a good website, you get overlooked. A listing in a directory such as ADAC is not enough: guests want photos, prices, opening hours and a phone number they can call directly. Ideally in under two seconds.

Packages · Website service

Fixed prices. No small print.

Three packages, three clear prices. You know what it costs before we start. (Your operator listing on ViaCamp remains free regardless.)

What you get

Three things I promise you.

  1. Visibility

    Guests find you on Google.

I optimise your site so it shows up in local searches — “campsite Eifel”, “motorhome pitch Moselle with dog”. That's not magic, it's craft: clean headings, fast loading times, a proper link to Google Maps. After three months, the free Google dashboard shows you how many people have found you.

  2. Mobile first

    Works on the phone.

Seven out of ten visitors arrive on a smartphone — often while the camper is standing at their pitch looking for the next destination. Your site then has to show everything important straight away: Is there space? What does it cost? How do I get there? I build every site for small screens first.

  3. Individual

Looks like your campsite — not like a template.

Wix and Jimdo site builders are recognisable at a glance. Your campsite is unique, and so are your guests. I work with your photos, your colours, your story. No stock photos of other people's motorhomes, no template that ten other campsites already use.

How it works

Four steps to your finished website.

Clear, no surprises, no small print.

  1. — Step I

    We talk on the phone

30 minutes, free of charge. You talk, I listen. At the end you know whether it's a fit.

  2. — Step II

    I send you a draft

After 3–5 days you receive a first draft — no obligation, no upfront payment.

  3. — Step III

    We refine it together

1–2 rounds of feedback, no hourly billing. Until you say: that's how it should look.

  4. — Step IV

    Your site goes live

After 14 days everything is ready: domain, email, Google listing. You don't have to do a thing.

Website check & improvements

Already have a website? Then let's make it better.

Not every site needs rebuilding. I check your existing website, explain in plain words what is slowing it down or missing, and fix it at a price agreed in advance.

  • Loading time

Why it matters: Guests often search on the road with a weak signal. If a page takes long to load, they click away.

What I do: Measuring with Google PageSpeed, smaller images, less clutter.

  • HTTPS & certificate

Why it matters: Without the padlock symbol, browsers warn people about your site.

What I do: A valid certificate that renews itself, and a redirect to the secure address.

  • Security

Why it matters: Outdated software and plugins are the most common way in for attackers.

What I do: Checking software versions, the server's security settings and logins.

  • Data protection check

Why it matters: Legal notice, privacy policy, cookie notice and embedded services such as fonts or maps.

What I do: A technical check of what your site loads and where data goes. You get a list. No legal advice.

  • SEO

Why it matters: Guests search for “campsite by a lake with a dog”. Your site should match.

What I do: Page titles, descriptions, headings, clean addresses and your Google Business Profile.

  • GEO: findable in AI search

Why it matters: More and more people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI answers for tips.

What I do: Structured data (site, address, facilities) and clear text, so AI search describes your site correctly.

  • Mobile

Why it matters: Most visitors arrive on a phone.

What I do: Readable text, large buttons, a phone number you can tap, nothing sliding off to the side.

How the check works

  1. 01

    Measure

I measure your site with common tools and look at it on a phone and a computer.

  2. 02

    Report

You get an easy-to-read report: what matters, what can wait, and what it costs.

  3. 03

    Fix

I fix what you approve. At the agreed fixed price, with no hourly billing.

  4. 04

    Measure again

At the end I measure again. You see the before and after figures side by side.

To be honest: nobody can promise a top spot on Google or a mention in AI answers. What you get is a technically sound website and figures you can check yourself.

Instagram management

Regularly on Instagram, without writing posts every evening.

I prepare posts for your site: images, text and hashtags, to suit the season. You see every post beforehand and approve it. For this I use PostPlan, a tool by celox.io.

  1. 01

    Suggest

Together we decide on topics: start of the season, free pitches, events, the surrounding area. I turn them into posts, ideally with your own photos.

  2. 02

    Review

You see every post exactly as it will appear on Instagram, with its planned date.

  3. 03

    Approve

If everything is fine, you approve it. Otherwise you change it yourself or tell me what should be different.

  4. 04

    Publish

At the planned time the post appears on your account. Afterwards you see views, reach and reactions.

Good to know

How PostPlan works

  • Nothing goes out without your yes. Each approval applies to exactly that one post.
  • Your Instagram account stays yours. You can post yourself or disconnect at any time.
  • Currently Instagram only. Your account needs to be a business or creator account; we can set that up together.
  • Nobody can promise followers or reach. What you get is a regular, well-kept presence.

Legal certainty

GDPR applies to your campsite too.

As soon as you collect guest data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies — regardless of the size of your campsite. Many operators don't realise how many places this affects.

  • Guest data & registration forms

Name, address, licence plate, length of stay — every check-in is a processing of personal data with retention and deletion obligations.

  • Booking system

Online booking, email confirmation, payment data: every service provider needs a data processing agreement (DPA) and must be named in your privacy policy.

  • Cameras at the entrance

Video surveillance at the barrier or the sanitary building requires notice signs, a documented balancing of interests and clear retention periods.

  • Wi-Fi registration

Guest Wi-Fi with a login form, terms of use and connection data is a processing activity of its own — with consent and information obligations.

I make the website itself legally sound.

Included in every package — at no extra cost:

  • Legal notice (Impressum) under § 5 DDG, the German Digital Services Act, plus a privacy policy tailored to the services you actually use
  • HTTPS/SSL encryption — the padlock symbol guests (and Google) expect
  • Data-minimising contact & enquiry forms with clear consent
  • No hidden tracking: fonts & maps embedded in a privacy-friendly way or hosted locally — no cookie banner needed for nothing
  • On request: template notices for camera signs & Wi-Fi terms of use as a checklist

An honest note: I make the website legally sound and give you a checklist for the rest. Putting it into practice on site — records of processing activities, camera notices, a data protection officer where required — remains your responsibility. This is not legal advice, but practical know-how from building websites.

Guide: show your site at its best

About me

I'm Martin and I love campsites.

I've been building websites from Berlin since 2014. Camping has been part of my life since I travelled through France in a VW bus with my parents. These days it's mostly weekends in Brandenburg — but the feeling of arriving at a well-run campsite after a long day is still something special for me.

Running a campsite means working with people, often as a family, often for decades. I want your website to feel the same way. Not like a software product, but like an invitation.

What you might be wondering.

I already have a website — do I really need a new one?

Often a refresh is worth more than a complete rebuild — we'll discuss that on the phone. Sometimes a mobile update, better photos or a Google listing is enough. I'll tell you honestly what makes sense.

What if I'm not very tech-savvy?

That's exactly what I'm here for. You don't have to install or set up anything yourself. I take care of domain, hosting and email and explain on the phone whatever you want to know — no more than that.

Can I make changes myself later?

Yes. All packages include simple editing access for texts, prices and photos. If you'd rather call me and tell me what to change — that works too, free of charge in the first year.

What happens if I'm not satisfied?

Then you don't pay. The satisfaction guarantee applies until launch. If the site doesn't get your “yes”, we don't put it online — and it costs nothing.

Do I even need this if I'm already listed on ADAC or PiNCAMP?

Portals bring visibility, but not direct enquiries. Someone who finds you on Google and calls you directly is your most valuable guest: no commission deducted, full trust, often a regular.

What happens after the site is finished?

The first year of maintenance — updates, small text changes, email support — is included. After that, monthly support is available on request from €9 per month. Or you take over yourself; the code is yours either way.

How much does a website check cost?

That depends on your website. After the measurement you get a report with a fixed price for the work. You then decide at your own pace which parts should be done.

What is GEO?

GEO stands for “Generative Engine Optimization”: preparing your website so that AI search such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI answers understand your site and describe it correctly. Most of it also helps with Google itself.

Who writes my Instagram posts, and do I have to do anything?

I prepare the posts. You look at them and approve them, which usually takes a few minutes a week. Your own photos make the posts better, but they are not a must.

Can I book the services individually?

Yes. Listing, Featured, website, website check and Instagram management work independently of each other. Your listing on ViaCamp stays free in any case.

Satisfaction guarantee

If you don't like the finished website, it doesn't go online — and you pay nothing. It's that simple.

Let's talk for 30 minutes.

No obligation, free of charge, no follow-up call spam. Drop me a short note about what you're planning — I'll get back to you within one working day.
